Family of Missing Michigan Teen Believe She is Being Held Against Her Will

17-year-old Zion Foster was last seen leaving her Eastpointe home with her cousin on January 4 and her family is desperately seeking answers on her disappearance.

On January 4, Foster traveled with her cousin to Detroit’s Eastside soon after returning home from work. Sources confirm she was still dressed in her Detroit Wing Company uniform. Foster sent a text to her mother, Ciera Milton, informing her that she was on her way home at 12:59am on January 5. 20 minutes later, Foster sent her mother her location, showing her at Greenfield & Vassar. Foster never returned home.

Milton said her daughter’s iPhone had been shut off. The account was part of a family plan, which enabled Milton to track its location.

“If you disable (the tracking feature), we get a notice, but they didn’t turn that off — her phone was turned off,” said Milton.

Milton told a news outlet that after reviewing her daughter’s phone records, she discovered the cousin was being inappropriate with Foster. Milton is also claiming the cousin is claiming he has not seen Foster.

“He was trying to talk to her and get with her and things like that. She’s underage, then I find out that drugs and things like that are also included in this. So, I don’t know what their lifestyle is. I don’t know what they’re about,” Milton told the news outlet.

Eastpointe Police Lt. Robert Koenigsmann said investigators have looked into several leads — “but they’ve all been dead ends so far,” he said. “We went to a couple addresses the family gave to us as possible places she could’ve gone, but they turned out to be vacant houses. We’re still trying to follow up on all the leads.”

Zion is described as 5-foot-2 and 120 pounds. She is African-American, has shoulder-length blonde hair and brown eyes. She was last seen on Jan. 4 and was wearing a Detroit Wing Company uniform but no coat.

If you have any information on Zion’s whereabouts, call Eastpointe police at 586-445-5100.
